You’ve probably been asked – “I haven’t been diving in a few years, does my certification expire?” Your answer used to be – “No, but you should do a review.” Now, your answer will be – “No it doesn’t expire, but you can reactivate your certification and easily get back in the water.” It sounds much more exciting and rewarding.
PADI ReActivate™ is a new prescriptive program designed to help divers update basic dive knowledge and skills, and become enthused about scuba diving again. Because it’s prescriptive, divers move through it at their pace and receive what they personally need to regain comfort in the water.
The PADI Scuba Review program was one-size-fits-all, and although it worked, ReActivate is a modern approach to welcoming divers back to the underwater world and rewarding them for their efforts. Divers who complete both the knowledge review and water skills update receive a new PADI certification card with a ReActivate date on it.
