PADI Asia Pacific and Project AWARE staff urge CITES Leaders to Vote YES

We’re just weeks away from CITES: March 2013! Project AWARE is working hard to get support from CITES authorities and governments worldwide to vote YES to protect shark and ray species on the brink.  Here’s 3 actions you can take to spread the word: Extinction is NOT an Option:

  1.  Add the #CITES4Sharks twibbon to your Facebook or Twitter profile picture
  2. You now have a direct line to the CITES leaders critical to the vote. Take 2 minutes to send a letter now. It could make all the difference to shark and ray species on the brink. You can also encourage your divers and customers to send a letter by adding the link to your enewsletter or social media sites.
  3. Download Extinction is NOT an Option  sign, grab your friends and take a pic. Share your picture on Project AWARE’s Facebook page. Project AWARE will highlight your photos over the coming weeks and share them with CITES leaders in March.

Thank you for all your support – stay in touch with the latest actions
